Security audit

Gmail

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

The skill is a disclosed Gmail integration, but it asks users to install and persistently enable an external ClawLink plugin that can broker sensitive Gmail read, send, and delete operations.

Install only if you trust ClawLink and the ClawHub plugin source with your Gmail account. Review the Google consent screen scopes carefully, avoid granting write/delete access unless needed, confirm every send or delete action, and know how to disconnect Gmail or revoke OAuth access if you stop using it.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Insecure DependenciesIntroduces malicious components through unsafe dependency sources
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
