Linear

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This Linear skill is mostly coherent, but it exposes broad state-changing Linear access and recommends an unverified remote installer command.

Install only if you trust OOMOL and are comfortable giving the connected account the ability to read and change Linear data. Prefer verified or package-manager installation for the oo CLI instead of pipe-to-shell commands, and require the agent to show the exact Linear mutation or destructive action before approval.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access

External Script Fetching

High
Category
Supply Chain
Confidence
90% confidence
Finding

The skill instructs use of curl ... | bash to fetch and execute a remote installer script directly from the network. This creates a supply-chain and remote code execution risk: if the host, transport, or script content is compromised, arbitrary code will run on the user's machine.

Context-Inappropriate Capability

Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The run_mutation action allows arbitrary GraphQL mutations against Linear beyond the curated higher-level actions listed elsewhere in the skill. That bypasses the skill's intended guardrails and enables broader state-changing behavior, potentially including destructive or security-sensitive operations not explicitly documented or reviewed.
