Figma

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a mostly coherent Figma connector, but its fallback setup tells the agent to run a remote installer script directly on the user's machine.

Before installing, treat the oo CLI setup as code execution on your machine. Prefer installing from a verified official package or inspecting and verifying the installer first, and only allow write or delete Figma actions after checking the exact target and payload.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access

External Script Fetching

Finding

The skill instructs use of a remote install command that pipes a fetched script directly into a shell, which executes unverified code from the network. If the host, distribution path, or transport were compromised, or if the content changed unexpectedly, this could lead to arbitrary code execution on the user's system.

Finding

The activation text says to use this skill for ANY Figma request and instead of calling the API directly, which is broader than necessary and can cause the agent to invoke the skill on loosely related prompts. In a skill with both read and write/destructive capabilities, over-broad routing increases the chance of unintended tool use and can bypass more specific user-intent checks.
